QA Lead+

Lightfox Games is seeking a talented and enthusiastic QA Lead+ to join our Seattle, WA based team to work on fun and exciting new games.

We are looking to build an organization of high talent individuals operating in small teams with high levels of ownership. Take a look at our first game here. Why “+” in QA Lead+? We’re looking for someone passionate to spearhead QA for our team, but has interest branching out into other game development roles. If you are someone who is passionate about gameplay quality, and also getting involved with multiple aspects of game development, then we would love to talk to you!

Lightfox Way of Working: Lightfox has a mixed Hybrid/Remote environment, working on a West Coast time schedule. We have a Seattle-based team, with some employees going to an office downtown a few days a week, and some fully remote. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible options.

Responsibilities

  • Test builds, collect device logs, and write clear and actionable bugs for the team

  • Manage outsourcing QA partners to add testing velocity and ensure quality

  • Work closely with Design, UX, and Engineering to iterate on the experience to “find the fun”

  • Give both quantitative and qualitative feedback on things going into the game. Sure, it works, but does it make sense? Does it meet our goals?

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in QA or on game development teams

  • Highly self-motivated and collaborative

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pluses

  • Experience in Game Design, Game Art, and/or Production
